Fear

Fear

Fear is the one emotion that has the power to hold the child of God back from reaching and experiencing its fullest potential and dreams. Furthermore, fear can be insidious or so cunning as to go undetected. It takes root and lives deep within the psyche and becomes a program much like a computer program run by the subconscious mind. This fear program gradually, subtly, and cleverly reaches out and infects the viewpoints, attitudes and beliefs of its host. Fear is so pervasive and powerful, it is passed on to offspring and colors life’s events to such a degree that it even offers proof of the need to be fearful.

We often see people who have been hurt and put up shields and armor. Their whole life has been changed and becomes a thing of the past – if it ever was. Now, take this same person and add fifty years of age, children and grandchildren. These descendents are also tempered by the same fear, possibly even being cynical and distrusting just about everything life has to offer. They expect life to offer untrustworthy events. They expect to be lied to, taken advantage of, stolen from and other wise disabused. There is plenty of evidence this family can offer through incidents and other examples as proof that life is indeed scary and full of pitfalls and traps.

The thought of life being a blessing, a grand opportunity to experience joy, new adventures and meet other extensions of our almighty Source is just not part of their outlook. They may say, “Yeah, I believe it’s possible to have a great fun life, but first I need to protect myself from all of the dangers out there.” Guess what, they never venture far from that original setting because their mind is absolutely preoccupied that the world is dangerous and protection is paramount.

Even when a new child is born to this family, full of zeal for exploration and adventure desiring to see the world and other people, this particular child is considered strange or “not right”. This child will be asked over and over again, “Why would you want to do such a thing, visit such a place, meet such a person when you have everything you need right here. You don’t know how strange these people are. I’ve heard all sorts of stories. I hear they eat disgusting foods, so you’ll starve if you go over there. I hear they have all sorts of crazy ways of doing things. You never know what situation you may find yourself in. It’s too dangerous. You should just stay right here, forget about your fantasies and stay safe.”

Now, you may or may not know or come from a family such as this. If you do, your family may exhibit more fear traits while others may demonstrate fewer fear traits.  Now, there is not a thing wrong with caution. It’s healthy to look both directions before crossing a street. It’s wise to research the facts of the deal you may be entering before you sign you name to the line.

When caution turns to fear and the joy and excitement of life is extinguished, a real problem has arisen. Even more deceptive that what I described before is the belief, subconscious usually, that we are separate from everyone else and separate from God. This program of separation is very deeply entrenched. We see God as being a great entity – out there, and other cultures being “those people.”

If everyone is viewed as being extensions of God, then we realize that we are all extensions of God, or little parts of God. Whenever we defame “those people” we are defaming parts of God. If we are a part of God, and so is everyone else, then the “Oneness” that Eastern cultures speak of is explained. Jesus’ words ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ is understood. Jesus’ other words ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ is also understood.

In addition, if we are all part of God, then that means that there is no such thing as separation from God and we are in fact capable of communicating to the larger portion of us which is God. I heard a minister say that when we ask God for something, it is in actuality one part of God asking a larger part of God. Of course God is going to give to himself/herself whatever he/herself has requested and desires.

When this idea of Oneness becomes the dominant idea, life on this planet will be one filled with joy, excitement, fun, adventures and love. The key to remember is not to wait until everyone else gets there first before you start enjoying life. Start the change I your family or in your life and watch your world transform before your eyes into Heaven on earth. Who knows, others may follow you. If they don’t, that’s ok too, they’re not ready yet. Honor their free will, and send them love, and the peace of God. When they’re ready, they’ll release their shackles that have held them in bondage for so long and the family’s descendents will indeed inherit a great blessing.

As always,

Tonya

As a side note, the Archangels Michael and Raphael can be of great help in releasing fears buried deep in our souls. Ask sincerely, and give thanks and watch your life change. If angels are not your thing, then ask God directly, just be willing to take the first step no matter who you ask.
